...or a month later.
Here's what I've been working the last few weeks
I put the body on a frame to roll it on its side. I found rust in both rear wheel wells that went through all three layers of body panels. Then I welded in a replacement package tray. I had a bad rust spot through the body under the strut support in the front so I cut off part of the strut support and patched underneath. Then I fixed the typical rust areas along the rocker panels. Next up was removal of the body support panel in the left rear to fix lots more rust in that area. Once I got all the rust remediation taken care of I applied 2 coats of POR-15 to the entire bottom of the car. As soon as I get the wheels stripped of paint and coated in POR-15 I can put the body on the chassis and it won't have to come off again. This way I can do all of the suspension work now and not worry about masking around it for paint. Pics are at this link:
