My $750 van project, been sitting for 6+ years, did not run as motor had dropped a valve, plus it was plumb wore out. Brought it home on a trailer and the project begins;

Just off the trailer;

Buffed out one side;

Interior, came with all the screens, tables and camp stool, missing the child's cot.

Engine out;

Engine rebuilt;

Engine going in!

masona14,

I use 3M Perfect-it II Rubbing compound 05973, it comes in a quart bottle. I think I got it at O'Reillys or AutoZone, should be able to find it at any of the stores that sell auto paint. Sorry about the delay as I have been doing some traveling. Just finished buffing out the remainder getting it ready for the Yukon show.

cant wait to see it there!

OH also if you need something good to clean the fiberglass, short of going to a RV shop and getting their high dollar stuff, tilex ive used in the past with great results, watch the paint though.

Tilex is exactly what I used on the fiberglass, when I got the camper the top was nearly black with mold or some sort of alien growth. Tried a couple of things but Tilex and a scrub brush worked the best. Next winter I plan to remove the top and clean it good again and then paint it a good gloss white. The tent portion needs to be replaced so I will do it at the same time. I found this place that will Tye Dye the tent VW Tent so that will likely be part of the plan.

I would say depending on finance take it to a rv or boat place and have it gel coated if u plan on keeping it a long time.
