hey guys i got a question on air filters.
i don't like mine, i'm thinking of going back to the stock filter.

i'm having routing issues
this is my motor

notice how that big ass black hose goes right in front of the flywheel?
well my flywheel loves to just eat that hose up.
if i switch to stock i don't have this problem....

anyone have any advise either way?

or hell anyone got a stock air filter they wanna trade or sell??

cheers

thats the alternator pulley not flywheel.

Rotate the filter so the hoses nipple is right next to the fan shroud, above the alternator, shorten the tube to go over the alternator, and your good.

Stock is ok too. im not sure if i have one, cant sell em so usually people throw them away.

also PUT HOSE CLAMPS ON THE FUEL LINES. ALL OF THEM.

Can someone recommend an air filter? I don't like the oil bath thingy I have now. I am looking for a "reusable" gauze type filter. I have a 34pict carb. I have found a few on ebay but I figure I would ask here first. Pics or part #s would be Great! What the hell show off your engine post some pics!!

if you dont want to pay $9.00 shipping you can go to Larrys VW in Nicoma park, or Bethany Imports on S. Robinson.
