Cars and Coffee @ Marc Heitz Norman...

Postby Ms. Smitty's Driver » Fri Jan 13, 2012 1:41 am

Hi, and Happy New Year all,
Anyone going to head down to Norman on Jan. 21st for the Show and Shine at Marc Heitz? They even offer free coffee. The Starbuck's events on the 1st Sat. are fun, and this is a new series of shows due to occur the 3rd Sat. of each month. Both locations run from 0800 to 11 hundred hours. Hope to see ya at one or the other. Take care, Tiff
P.S. Will there be another Saturday meet and greet at Ingrid's soon? I keep havin to miss the Tues. gatherings.

I will keep it on the "to-do" list, however I have been working most Saturdays and Plum Crazy has me scheduled to go to the home and garden show the same day. Would be fun though as I am sure there will be a bunch of "2010 Muscle Cars" there, always fun to show up with the VW's as they alway draw more attention than a late model cookie cutter.

I got a 68 trans I was getting ready to install and removed all the old wiring to redo front rear and started strip pan to POR15 it. Just before I had to go in for the knee replacement cause I could longer get up once I got down.

OK, OK I'm lost. There will be a show in Norman every 3rd Sat and the other one at Penn and Memorial every 1st Sat?

I've been to the Penn/Memorial one 4 times now but this is news to me about Norman. Any web sites or anything for Norman?

You're right about the cold! I went around 9:45 and the cars were there but no people. I looked around and then found everybody inside around the coffee and rolls.

Really a pretty nice set up. I'd say around 50-60 cars, mostly old american. No VWs at all, new or old. This might turn out to be really nice once it warms up and people learn about it.

Kudos to the dealer for hosting this. Well done and made you feel welcome.
