Finally woke her up . . .

Postby 71BayinOKC » Thu Jul 14, 2011 1:49 pm

so after finishing a harley project my dad and I started my wife quickly reminded me of the 71 VW we bought for HER back in June of 2010 that still wasn't running. My dad and I have been tinkering with it off and on for the past few months. We bought a motor and had to figure out what was missing on it and what it needed. (first VW for both of us) Finally got everything set and got it timed today and she fired right up. We took turns driving it down the block in hopes that it wouldn't catch on fire  Just a few minor things (dash switches, turn signal switch adustment, wire the horn, hook the emergency brake up) and she should be tagged and on the road. My wife's birthday is this monday and I was hoping to have it legal by then but she'll just have to wait.
