Soda Blaster for cleaning carbs...

Well as for anyone that has ever tried to bring a carb back to life here is a cheap way to do it... I think I am going to have to give this a whirl... Any feedback would be great- especially if anyone has done it... Check out the link .... :D :D

Sounds like a terrible idea to me. unless you mean to only clean the outside.
All those tiny little passages that are plugged with old gas and dirt, then pounding soda in there, seems like it would make it worse. id just soak em for 1-5 days in the paint bucket o goodness.

I have used that bucket oh goodness and it is my understanding that it is for the outsides (soda blaster that is)... did you look at the carbs he cleaned up? pretty nice.. either way.. good news is that the baking soad would dislove in water if you did feel like it was clogged... hey just anothe option is all... like most things it is use at your own risk...
