Need a new wire or switch, or clean connection on switch/coil wires.

Baywindow?
Check the back of it. usually the electric part is seperate from the mechanical part. I bet its one or the other not both are broken.

clean the contacts, spray some contact cleaner liberally on the switch. the electrical part(after disassembly). if you are gonna replace it, get a new one at Bethany, if you replace with a used no telling what condition its in. if it is cranking over, you can run a jumper wire from the battery to + coil & start up too.....later

Take the electrical part out, then reconnect to wires, use a screw driver on that white bit and see what it does. DON'T take key part out, yet.

I think I have a bus book, what year is yours. I'll look & see how they come out. If you need to pull the wheel, give it a liberal soaking with some penetrant, put both feet on the floor, pull while shaking back & forth. Be sure to have the nut started 2 or 3 threads or it will smack you in the beak when it comes loose. see ya later...JP

Well it is a 69. I have a book, but i cannot get it to move just like the book says it should.

I cannot get it to do this...every thread I have read says to just undo the four screws and I do that but nothing happens.

Plus my front wheels are on there SUPER tight, so tight that i can stand on my wrench and nothing happens as well lol.

Front wheels? where you at Marcin? that little wood screw where the red is in your pic has to come out for the switch to come out. I didn't bring the book in, I will go look again,,back in a while.

I have a steering wheel puller if you still need one and to get your wheels off when the bolts are tight you can hit the bolts with a hammer and they usually become loose. Call me, 830-1197 Robert

Ive not pulled the switch on mine, but the 4 screws at least the ones i see in the pic mount the colum/switch housing to the dash. if you need it to swing you can also remove the metal thing from the dash for more room if my memory serves.

Ya and i dont know what you mean by wheels are tight. they dont spin or steer? Drums or disc?

I guess I will keep trying lol. Its just a pain in the butt. It doesnt want to swivel like the Bentley says. If not I will be taking the other metal part off.

And its my lug bolts that are stuck in there like crazy. I sprayed them with PB blaster and will be hitting with the hammer tonight.

maybe the front wheels being so tight won't let enough juice flow to the starter? good luck, everything I touch on this square is fubar.
